If Jared Spurgeon’s goal on Tuesday night against the New Jersey Devils isn’t named the best of the year, it at least deserves to be in the conversation. The University of Denver hockey team traveled to Kalamazoo for an upcoming game. But, there was just one little problem – their sticks didn’t make the trip with them. Without their most important piece of equipment, the team still practiced, pretending they all had their sticks as they ran through some drills.
