GIF: Darren Helm spears Mike Smith in the junk

We’ve mocked Mike Smith a lot over the last few weeks. First, he jumped over a shot and allowed a bizarre goal. Next, he shot the puck off of Brandon Sutter and into his own net. What could possibly follow up those two incidents? How about a spear in the junk from Darren Helm? Smith […]

Connor McDavid completes OHL regular season with 120 points in 47 games

The Connor McDavid hype seems to grow by the way. As the NHL regular season winds down, fans from several teams are actively rooting for their organizations to fail and fall as far down the standings as possible with the hopes of securing better odds for the top overall pick in the upcoming draft. Is […]

Video: Red Wings score winner with a broken stick

The Detroit Red Wings OT winner against the St. Louis Blues was pretty controversial. Justin Abdelkader tapped in the winner, but the review clearly showed he was using a broken stick. Under the NHL’s rules, a goal can not be counted if it’s scored with an illegal – in this case broken – stick. Amazingly, […]

Video: Mike Smith shoots the puck off Brandon Sutter and into his own net

Things are getting ugly in Arizona. While fans continue to discuss the team tanking for Connor McDavid, the Coyotes are spiraling out of control. We’ve seen some strange things, such as Mike Smith jumping over the puck to avoid making a save. Now Smith is helping the opposition a bit more directly by clearing the […]

Video: Eddie Lack wants to fight Jonathan Quick

Jonathan Quick took exception to Henrik Sedin pursuing a loose puck. As we’ve seen in the past, that means punches from the Kings goaltender. This time his opposing netminder, Eddie Lack, skated to center ice and challenged Quick to come out and meet him. Quick declined. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RrO2Ki4FK6A

Roundtable: Discussing the NHL moving to 3-on-3 OT hockey

The NHL is going to use a form of 3-on-3 in overtime in an effort to cut down on the number of games decided by a shootout. While the details surrounding the 3-on-3 play haven’t been nailed down quite yet, change is coming. Fans met the news with mixed reactions and so too did the PDL […]

Maple Leafs forward says dressing room is “pretty screwed up”

The Toronto Maple Leafs have been the equivalent of a garbage fire this season according to the local media, the team’s fans and just about everyone who has watched the team. Bill Guerin thinks the Penguins whine too much

The Pittsburgh Penguins have a reputation as being a team that loves to complain. Sidney Crosby and his teammates have been given nicknames surrounding this very idea, mocking the fact the Penguins are often seen complaining to the officials after penalty calls and offside whistles. Is there any validity to these statements or are fans of […]

Video: Curtis Lazar eats a burger that was thrown on the ice

Fans of the Ottawa Senators love goaltender Andrew Hammond – AKA The Hamburgular – and they show their appreciation by throwing burgers on the ice. Hammond is already covered in that area as he was given free McDonald’s for life, but Curtis Lazar is pretty happy with a free, disgusting snack.

Mike Green is set to become an unrestricted free agent following the 2014-15 season and it’s safe to assume he’d draw plenty of interest on the open market.
