Tom Wilson refuses to fight Eric Boulton, gets called “scared to death”

After delivering a massive hit against Lubomir Visnovsky in the playoffs last year, the New York Islanders wasted little time in trying to get revenge on Washington Capitals forward Tom Wilson this preseason.

Report: Eric Staal wants $9 million per year on next contract

It was reported by Renaud Lavoie of TVA that Eric Staal would like $9 million a year for his next contract. I also want to be the King of England. While Staal is a very good player and a player who is still playing like a first liner, it is a number that not a […]

A lot of times men can be awfully full of themselves. Sometimes they need to be knocked down a peg. Luckily, we have Olympic gold medal winner and Clarkson Cup champion Tara Watchorn to step up to take that role. Watchorn decides to take it easy in a men’s league for a little while and when […]

Ranking all the starting NHL goaltenders for the 2015-16 season

Ranking the top-30 starting goaltenders is an arduous task. Some are good. Some are bad. Mostly they are voodoo and fluctuate more than the stock market. In the age of goaltending committees, it can be difficult – if not impossible – to forecast who really is the “starter” on a team by definition and to […]

Video: Tyler Ennis steals the puck, bats it in for hat trick

Tyler Ennis tallied three goals against the Ottawa Senators in preseason action this weekend. His third and final goal of the night was the most impressive as he stole the puck and batted it into the net. Ennis has always been an interesting skill player to follow, but he hasn’t had much talent placed around […]

Video: Devils mock the Islanders’ move to Brooklyn

The New York Islanders move to Brooklyn has been analyzed, criticized and mocked. The latter has been mostly done by the fans, but the New Jersey Devils recently tried to get in on the fun. Pretty tame all things considered, but the joke is kind of sad considering the people that the moved impacts the […]

Video: Alexander Semin went a full play with a stick caught in his jersey

Alexander Semin is trying to resurrect his career now that he’s with the Montreal Canadiens. That includes giving it his all on the ice … even if an opponent’s stick gets caught in his jersey. T.J. Oshie’s stick got stuck inside Semin’s jersey (not really sure how) and Semin carried it with him for a good […]

Brandon Saad helped sponsor Syrian refugee families

In today’s modern sports world, you are more likely to see the faces of athletes in the paper for their unacceptable behavior rather than anything good, but luckily every once in a while something good will pop out. Such is the case with Brandon Saad, who spoke with Chris Deville of Columbus Monthly and provided this […]
