Highest-Priced Boston Bruins Tickets See Most Popular Teams, New York Rangers and Chicago Blackhawks

The difficult times seem to be over for the Boston Bruins, as both management and fans are just excited to see their team back on the ice. With the opening game of the season a week away, it’s time to dive into a secondary marketing ticketing preview for the upcoming Bruins season.

Before going over some of the most expensive Bruins tickets on the secondary market, below is a quick recap of events during the offseason:

  •      The Bruins missed the playoffs for the first time since the 2006-07 season.
  •      General Manager Peter Chiarelli was fired on April 15; Don Sweeney hired on May 20.
  •      Traded away Dougie Hamilton and Milan Lucic, who were each big fan-favorites.
  •      Selected Zachary Senyshyn 15th overall in the NHL Draft (acquired from Hamilton deal) and acquired the 13th overall pick, Jakub Zboril, in the Lucic deal, among others.

Sports Illustrated predicts the Bruins will finish with 90 points and in sixth-place in the Atlanta Division, which doesn’t sound too exciting for a franchise that usually expects much bigger things when approaching a new season. But with perhaps lower expectations that any season in the past 10 years, the Bruins may have nothing to lose while trying to get back to elite status.

With secondary market ticket information from SeatSmart.com, below are the most expensive Bruins tickets for the season that starts next week on October 8.

Most Expensive: 2/11/2016 | Winnipeg Jets vs. Boston Bruins | MTS Centre | Average Price: $674.36 | Get-in Price: $307.07

4/3/2016 | Chicago Blackhawks vs. Boston Bruins | United Center | Average Price: $354.85| Get-in Price: $138

11/27/2015 | Boston Bruins vs. New York Rangers | TD Garden | Average Price: $250.23 | Get-in Price: $108

The Winnipeg Jets are atop the list for most teams on the secondary market and it’s no different for the Bruins. It’s Boston’s most expensive game of the season with an average ticket price of almost $675 and a get-in price of $307.07. Afterwards, the Bruins get into some of their older rivalries against the most popular teams in the league.

They travel to the United Center in April to face the defending Stanley Cup Champions with an average ticket price of $354.85 and a get-in price of $138. The most expensive Bruins games continue to appear when the team is on the road, as tickets to see the Rangers and Bruins square off have an average price of $331.61 and a get-in price of $89, which clocks in as their third most expensive game of the season.

But the Bruins get awesome support from the fans who regularly attend the TD Garden, so they have to be shown some love. The most expensive Bruins home game is in November when they host the Rangers, having an average ticket price of just over $250 and a get-in price of $108. With it being the most expensive game, Boston parking on ParkWhiz.com will help save in another added expense when attending a game. Parking rates near the TD Garden start from $14 for the November 27 game against the Rangers.
