Surging Rangers Close Out February With Three Tough Matchups

The New York Rangers have continued a stellar 2015-16 NHL season, entering the new week riding a two-game winning streak and looking at huge showdowns with the Devils and Stars, among others. This week figures to be a huge week for New York, as they can stretch their lead over the New York Islanders for second place in the Metropolitan Division by simply staying the course.

New York has done a fantastic job of that all season, going a strong 34-19-6 and holding down the fort at home (22-6-3 at Madison Square Garden. The best part about their strong showing this year is the value in New York Rangers tickets, which average out at just $183.75 to close out the year despite some big games remaining on the docket.

To get a better idea of their current value, let’s take a look at the remaining games for the Rangers this week:

2/23/2016 – New York Rangers @ New Jersey Devils at Prudential Center | Avg: $191.83 | Get-in: $94

Fans can expect to pay up for this huge divisional clash, putting the rival Rangers and Devils against each other at the Prudential Center. This is a huge game for both sides, as New Jersey is still looking to cement a playoff spot and could even still potentially leapfrog the Rangers. They’ll have a mild edge going into this one, as they play host. New Jersey hasn’t exactly been amazing at home though (just 14-12-4), which could easily give way to the Rangers stealing a tough road win.

2/25/2016 – New York Rangers @ St. Louis Blues at Scottrade Center | Avg: $74.24 | Get-in: $21

St. Louis Blues tickets being just $117 on average helps bring the price of this game down, but it’s still shockingly low, with the average ticket not even costing $75. This easily rings in as New York’s best value of the week, as it’s well under half the price of the average set of Rangers tickets, while anyone can get in the door for just $21. Lower level seating is the place to be, too, with some tickets coming in as low as $39.

The value is even better when you consider the rarity of this meeting, as the Blues hail from the Western Conference. St. Louis also is no pushover, with a strong 35-18-9 record, while hypothetically speaking fans could be gearing up to witness a potential Stanley Cup Final preview. The Blues should enter with the mild edge, of course, thanks to a stout 19-10-4 home record at the Scottrade Center.

2/27/2016 – New York Rangers @ Dallas Stars at American Airlines Center | Avg: $154.90 | Get-in: $19

New York’s battle against the Stars at the American Airlines Center is the best deal when you look at the get-in price, while it still holds strong value with the average ticket costing just under $155. This is another spot for visiting Rangers fans to target the lower level seating, too, with seats going for as little as $100.

Much like their battle with the St. Louis Blues two days prior, this is another killer inter-conference clash for the Rangers. Dallas is certainly another tough out on the road, too, as they’ve been even better than the Blues (as well as the Rangers) during a stellar 37-17-6 campaign. The Stars are also rather tough at home, as they’ll walk into the February 27 showdown boasting a solid 20-8 mark at the American Airlines Center.
