Canucks Struggling, Still Lead NHL Secondary Ticket Market

Neither the Vancouver Canucks nor the Chicago Blackhawks are having seasons to brag about during the first 20 games of the regular season, but Canucks tickets are the most expensive in the NHL on the secondary market this weekend when the defending champions come to Rogers Arena. The average ticket price of $192.34 and get-in price of $68 is just over $30 higher than the second most expensive game between the Minnesota Wild and Nashville Predators.

Two points separate the Wild and Predators in the Western Conference Central division but the teams are trending in different directions. The Predators are currently riding a two-game winning streak while the Wild have lost three straight.

Boston Bruins tickets come in at just under $150 with a get-in price of $60 for a game against the struggling Toronto Maple Leafs. The city of Boston will be busy Saturday with Notre Dame facing Boston College at Fenway Park earlier in the day, so fans going to the hockey game can find TD Garden parking deals through ParkWhiz.com to take some of the difficulty out of commuting to and from the game.

The first part of the Blackhawks back-to-back Canadian team trip is Friday night against the Calgary Flames with an average ticket price of $146.72 and a get-in price of $83. The Flames only have 15 points through 20 games but fans from north of the border enjoy getting out to see a quality opponent when possible.

Closing out the top five is the Pittsburgh Penguins hosting the San Jose Sharks at Consol Energy Center with an average ticket price of $131.30 and a get-in price of $41. The Penguins are 7-3 in their last 10 games despite reports of locker room issues, and will have another quality Western Conference test against the Sharks who are currently second in the Pacific division.
