For years, Steve Mason was criticized as a one-year wonder only capable in his one year with the Columbus Blue Jackets. Little known fact for many is that Mason has had one of the better save percentages over the past two years. He really found his game in Philadelphia and that is a credit to him working hard and finding his game again.
This moment on Thursday isn’t one that he will look back on fondly.
You really can’t blame Mason. Everyone in the arena thought the puck had gone in. I am surprised no one was able to take advantage of the moment. Overall, it wasn’t a good night for Mason as the Penguins beat the Flyers for the first time in quite a long time.
