The Dallas Stars were trailing 3-0 against the Colorado Avalanche with a little over 10 minutes remaining in the third period. During a stretch of 4-on-4 hockey, the Stars gambled and pulled their goalie in order to have a 5-on-4 advantage. The move paid off almost immediately with Jason Spezza scoring to make things 3-1.
The Stars eventually fell 4-1, but it’s not often you see the goalie pulled with 10 minutes left in the game.
