All of the goaltending talk on Tuesday night focused on the Florida Panthers and the fact Rob Tallas was nearly called into action. Mike Smith wasn’t the center of attention, but he maybe should have been as he jumped over a shot and avoided the puck in a bizarre scene which may make fans think the Coyotes are tanking on purpose.
Smith obviously thought the shot was going much higher, but a jump was probably never warranted.
