In all seriousness, the only way to really score on a goalie anymore is to redirect the puck. Deception is a big part of the NHL and shooters always try to use it to their advantage. Sometimes though it can be just dumb luck.
I love the reaction of Dumba and David Jones. Both are befuddled by what just happened and then become resigned to the fact of what just happened. This has to be one of the oddest goals in the NHL this year. Next time Devan Dubnyk will have to prepare himself for a puck going off a teammate’s head – the oldest trick in the book.
