Video: Gabriel Landeskog lays out Brad Marchand, gets game misconduct

Some may call it karma for Brad Marchand, but this is the type of stuff that people want out of the game. Many will point towards the role of the enforcer, but what happens when the pugilist is at the butt end of the play?

No matter how you slice it, Landeskog took a cheap shot on Marchand.

He skated from a distance and immediately targeted his head. Marchand in typical fashion gets up and punches Landeskog in the face. Landeskog will surely get a call from the Deparment of Player Safety for this play and could be looking at a multi-game suspension.

Landeskog received a match penalty and ejection for his troubles and Marchand received a two minute minor for roughing. Colorado ended up winning the game 3-2 with a third period goal from Matt Duchene. Maybe crime does pay.
