There was a frightening moment in the Detroit-Vancouver game when Johan Franzen’s skate came up and cut Alex Burrows on the top of his cheek. Burrows immediately left the ice for repairs, but he was able to return to the ice along with some new stitches.
Burrows should be thankful this was a glancing blow and that Franzen’s skate didn’t hit him more directly.
