Ryan Suter may be in hot water with the NHL after he delivered a pretty nasty elbow to the face of Steve Downie. As Downie tried to pass, Suter tried to get a piece of him and his elbow flew up high into Downie’s face. It’s difficult to decipher intent, but it looks like a hit worthy of a suspension.
Was there a penalty on the play? Of course not. This is the NHL and nothing ever makes sense.
