It didn’t look like much, but Thomas Vanek pulled off one of the more unique shootout moves seen in the NHL this season. As Vanek skated in on Sabres netminder Robin Lehner, he casually controlled the puck before going “around the world” with his stick which seemed to completely fool Lehner.
Sometimes it’s the more subtle moves which prove to be the most effective.
