Video: Roberto Luongo congratulates Henrik Sedin after allowing goal for Sedin’s 1,000th point

Henrik Sedin reached a big milestone, scoring a goal against the Florida Panthers on Friday night which gave him 1,000 points in his NHL career. The goal appropriately came against Roberto Luongo, a teammate of Sedin’s for a long stretch in Vancouver.

After allowing the goal, Luongo had the classiest of gestures, skating up to Sedin to congratulate him on his achievement.

Luongo was left on his back in his own net, but he collected himself and waited for his moment to congratulate his old teammate. The move, one which appeared to be greatly appreciated by Sedin, was a terrific gesture and shows the immense respect the two players still have for one another.
