The Edmonton Oilers and Buffalo Sabres were tied at two a few minutes into the second period. The contest, which was a close battle at the time, was broken wide open when Cam Talbot allowed an ugly bouncing shot from Ryan O’Reilly from center ice.
This ugly goal opened up the floodgates as the Sabres rolled to a 6-2 win.
Same ol’ Oilers. The team’s defense and goaltending have been a hot topic for many years and though they’ve jumped out to a decent start in 2016-17, those areas may still be an issue.
