Claude Julien on facing the Canadiens: “I hope they blew their load last night”

The Montreal Canadiens dominated the Colorado Avalanche on Saturday night, cruising to a huge 10-1 victory. Claude Julien, head coach of the Boston Bruins, is faced with the daunting task of facing the Canadiens on Monday just two days removed from one of the most complete performances by a team in the NHL this season.

Julien was asked about the Canadiens ahead of his team’s matchup and the question yielded one of the best quotes of the year.

That’s a quote for the ages.

Julien shared the same idea you’d expect to hear from any NHL coach – hoping the Canadiens got all of their scoring out of their system before facing his team – but Julien’s phrasing was something special.
