Video: Kalle Kossila scores lacrosse-style goal with this amazing Mike Legg imitation

Making an immediate impact in the AHL is tough to do. You either have to be a highly rated prospect or grab a team’s attention in a completely different way.

Kalle Kossila of the AHL’s San Diego Gulls may have just grabbed the Anaheim Ducks’ attention when he scored this absolutely insane goal.

The goal is very similar to what Mike Legg did when he was at the University of Michigan. The best part about it were the people post-game that were talking about how they have never seen anyone do it in a game before.

“I’ve been in pro hockey for 30 years and I’ve never seen a player pull that off in a game,” said San Diego Gulls head coach Dallas Eakins.

With how rare these type of plays are, it will probably be another 30 years for Eakins to see another goal like it. It doesn’t get much better than that, does it?
