Oilers trade Taylor Hall to New Jersey for Adam Larsson

The Edmonton Oilers have traded star forward Taylor Hall to the New Jersey Devils in a 0ne-for-one deal for Adam Larsson reports Bob McKenzie of TSN.ca.

Canucks fined $50,000 for tampering following Benning’s comments on Stamkos

Jim Benning has paid the price for verbally crossing the line. The Vancouver Canucks have been fined $50,000 for tampering after Benning went on radio and openly discussed courting multiple players, which is a big no-no before free agency starts.

Nikita Zadorov claims the Sabres don’t want too many Russians on their team

Nikita Zadorov isn’t being quiet about his feelings about the Buffalo Sabres and how he thinks they approached Russian players. Speaking with Russian reporter Slava Malamud, the Colorado Avalanche defenseman told him that while the organization didn’t hate Russians, they “think there shouldn’t be too many of us on the team.”

Report: Alex Goligoski closing in on five-year deal with Coyotes

The Arizona Coyotes’ gamble on trading for Alex Goligoski’s rights might have paid off. Craig Custance of ESPN.com reports Arizona is closing in on a five-year  deal with Goligoski which will be worth around $5.5 million annually. Arizona recently acquired Goligoski’s rights in a deal with the Dallas Star in exchange for a fifth-round pick.
