Scary news out of the KHL, as former Colorado Avalanche forward Wojtek Wolski was seriously injured during Thursday’s matchup between Metallurg Magnitogorsk and Barys Astana. Jonathan Huberdeau’s injury is an unfortunate development for upstart Panthers

The Florida Panthers received some awful news on Sunday, as George Richards of the Miami Herald reports Jonathan Huberdeau will miss the next three-to-four months with a lower leg injury. Huberdeau was injured in a preseason game against the New Jersey Devils after Sergey Kalinin stepped on the back of his ankle with a skate.

The Winnipeg Jets are moving on from Ondrej Pavelec

The Winnipeg Jets are moving on from longtime starter Ondrej Pavelec, as Kevin Wiebe of the Winnipeg Sun reports he’ll hit waivers on Monday. Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet.ca added it’s not 100% certain Pavelec will accept his AHL demotion.
