However, during his team’s important game against the Pittsburgh Penguins, Datsyuk delivered a crunching blow on Sidney Crosby. The hit was as awesome as it was unexpected.

The Devils lost Patrick Elias, Adam Henrique and Jacob Josefson to injuries when they took on the Capitals on Friday night. The most cringe-worthy of the bunch had to be Elias’ as he was hit into one of the stanchions separating the benches by Washington’s Tom Wilson.
The stanchions are now padded after a few scary incidents over the past few years, but this is still a tough video to watch.

Alexandre Burrows has received plenty of criticism – among other things – for his hit on Ryan McDonagh.
