T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas will soon be home to the NHL’s newest organization, but we’re still approximately a year away from the first official faceoff. Until then, the arena is celebrating several noteworthy milestones which come along with the birth of a new NHL franchise.
Recently, the ice was installed for the first time in the arena, signaling that hockey in Vegas will soon be a reality. Now we have video footage of the first-ever team to take the ice at the T-Mobile Arena.

Hockey in Vegas appears to be getting off to a strong start. In order to have long-term success, the new NHL franchise will need to engage, build and develop its youth hockey community. Letting a youth team skate on the new ice is an easy yet effective way to start forming those relationships.
