Tyler Johnson is lucky to have escaped a serious injury after taking a puck to the face when the Lightning faced the Bruins. The puck appeared to catch Johnson directly in the face, resulting in a nasty gash which poured blood on to the ice.
Warning: The video below is not for the squeamish. Blood fills Johnson’s visor and spills on to the ice. It’s pretty nasty.
Thankfully, it sounds like Johnson will be OK.

It’s frightening to think what might have happened had Johnson not been wearing a visor.
