If you want to be generous to Flyers goalie Steve Mason, you could say that he gave up a bad center ice goal in Game 2 against the Washington Capitals on Saturday. While technically true, the goal really came from the opposite goal line and was only deflected slightly at center ice. It was a deflection goal from 101 feet out.
Get ready to cringe, and pay special attention to the Joe Beninati reaction:
The team that Beninati works for benefited from this, and even he was horrified.
Twitter’s reaction was predictably hilarious:

The ironic part was that just moments earlier, Mason made an incredible save while doing the splits. And nobody will remember it. Such is life for an NHL goalie. And such is life for the rest of Steve Mason’s life.
