The new Oilers mascot will haunt your dreams

The Edmonton Oilers debuted a new mascot named Hunter who is a lynx and possibly part devil. Welcome to nightmare town!

Unveiling a new mascot is hard. Just ask the Columbus Blue Jackets when they debuted their old mascot Boomer.

Predictably, this did not go over well. It is like some NHL teams have never heard of a focus group. They just decided to dive in.

I know this will be controversial, but I am a big fan of the mascot. I think it is fun and not entirely creepy like others think. It is a mascot after all, what else are you supposed to do with it?
