Scott Darling debuts excellent mask inspired by Wayne’s World

Chicago Blackhawks goaltender Scott Darling showed off his new Wayne’s World inspired goaltender mask and it’s excellent.

Game on! Thanks @davidofdaveart and @bauergoalie for another great mask #WaynesWorld

Darling’s mask was made in collaboration with renowned goalie artist David Gunnarsson and Bauer Hockey. The incredible design features multiple nods to the popular 1992 comedy including Wayne and Garth on the side of the helmet with the Tim Hortons parody ‘Stan Mikita’s Donut Shop’ engraved on the side.

It’s a beauty of a mask. Wayne’s World is an appropriate film to capture on a mask because of its roots and connection to Chicago. Plus, it’s a hilarious, fun movie featuring stellar performances from SNL alums Mike Myers and Dana Carvey. W

ayne’s World is set in Chicago and as mentioned above, features references to Blackhawks great Stan Mikita. Darling being both a fan of the film and his organization perfectly pairs the two. When Darling puts on the mask, we’ll know it’s party time.

Darling might be a backup goalie with the Blackhawks, but his new Wayne’s World mask is number one. Other goalies aren’t worthy of the new look.

Game on!
