The Florida Panthers are getting a redesign and we might already have a first look.
The Panthers announced that they’d be unveiling a new logo at the BB&T Center on June 2. In the press release, the team said Aaron Ekblad, Steven Kampfer, Vincent Trocheck and Shawn Thornton will be on hand to show off the new duds.

Curious to what the new Panthers logo might look like? Well, it’s apparently leaked. According to Paul Lukas of Uni-Watch, Chris Creamer of SportsLogos.net has confirmed that the Panthers will be wearing the new logo (seen below).
Here’s how Creamer describes the new look.

“The logo follows the same formula as what we wrong about back in January, a military badge style shield (modeled after that of the 101st Airborne) containing a panther head and the team named arched over the top.”
Despite appearing like a shoulder patch or alternate logo, this is the new primary logo, it will appear on the front of the new Florida Panthers jerseys with a horizontal stripe across the chest..”
The new logo looks pretty slick.
There wasn’t really anything wrong with the Panthers current design, but freshening it up doesn’t hurt. The Panthers have essentially worn the same logo for their entire existence, and given the team is finally on the ups as a contender, the time couldn’t be better to embrace change. It’s a rebranding gone right, assuming the logos are legit.
