The Minnesota Wild are spiraling out of control in the Central Division and blame is being thrown in numerous directions for the team’s slide. They’ve lost nine of their last 10 games and they hardly resemble the team which many believed could be a legitimate contender. Questions are being asked of head coach Mike Yeo, and though it’s not fair to assign him all of the blame, it’s standard procedure to criticize the head coach whenever a team endures a lengthy rough patch.
Despite Yeo sitting in the hot seat as the Wild try to turn things around, the club is reiterating their faith in the coach.

Though the Wild seem to be content with Yeo behind the bench for the time being, that doesn’t mean the players in front of Yeo will remain the same.

It sounds like the Wild want to let the current roster figure things out and play the “right way” but it’s clear that if things don’t turn around soon that the team will make changes. Just about every GM is active at this time of the year, but it might be telling that the Wild are openly admitting that they’re frequently talking with GMs. If the hope is to get the current squad up and running, the threat of moves being made might be the motivation they need.
