Goalie masks in hockey allow a rare opportunity for an athlete to express themselves as a part of their official uniform. In the case of Jason LaBarbera, the masks allow him to pay tribute to some of his favorite wrestlers from the WWE.
Skating in the AHL within Philadelphia’s organization, LaBarbera needed a new helmet and he wanted to highlight one of the most popular (and electrifying) men in sports entertainment.

LaBarbera has previously had other wrestlers on his helmets (Undertaker and Ultimate Warrior, to name a couple), but The Rock might be our favorite. The mask also has the Flyers logo, but most people will be too distracted by The People’s Champion.
