The 5 best hockey fights from Week 10

The Central Division is well represented in this week’s edition of Hockey Fights of the Week as the Blues, Stars, Blackhawks and Predators let tensions boil over.

The holidays are fast approaching, but you’d never know it based on the videos below.

5. Nate Schmidt (WAS) vs J.T. Brown (TB) – Dec. 12th

The battle behind the net as well as on the net kick off this bout.

4. Antoine Roussel (DAL) vs Petteri Lindbohm (STL) – Dec. 12th

The first of two Stars-Blues fights, this one features the familiar Roussel and the mostly unfamiliar Lindbohm. The Blues called up Lindbohm after Joel Edmundson struggled and he’s making a pretty big impact, as seen in this scrap.

3. Andrew Desjardins (CHI) vs Paul Gaustad (NSH) – Dec. 10th

The Blackhawks were looking for a spark trailing by three at the end of the first and Desjardins tried to provide that spark. Things didn’t go according to plan as Gaustad throws almost all of the punches and pummels Desjardins.

2. Jamie Benn (DAL) vs David Backes (STL) – Dec. 12th

There’s something pretty special about two captains fighting. Both Benn and Backes are pretty fierce when they drop the mitts, but Benn is able to get an edge on Backes and win a pretty solid fight.

1. Eric Nystrom (NSH) vs Tyler Randell (BOS) – Dec. 7th

Some fights are close. This one was not. Randell’s rights are way too much for Nystrom to handle and it proves to be a decisive victory. These two fighters are almost identical in height and weight, but Randell makes Nystrom look like a feeble opponent.
