Welcome all to the social media craze everyone is talking about: Puck Drunk Love’s Tweets Of The Week. We, as always, aim to bring you the best in hockey Twitter from fans, players, and just plain hockey people.
Jonathan Bernier: Still Struggling
Now, it may only seem like we pick on the Maple Leafs and Jonathan Bernier every week. But we it’s not picking on them. It’s just our way of saying that the Toronto Maple Leafs corner of Twitter brings their A game every single night. Especially on nights where Jonathan Bernier gives up five goals which, unfortunately for the Leafs fan base, is a lot of nights … just like he did on Tuesday against the Lightning after a minor league stint which supposedly brought back confidence.
Took TWO shots before Bernier allowed a goal. Usually it's the first shot. AHL stint worked. #Leafs

I feel like even 91 year old Johnny Bower could still play better than Bernier

Bernier is gonna be blocking lots of people on social media tonight.. Or at least he'll try to. They'll probably squeak by.

Give Leafs twitter credit, they come up with new ways to convey that the same guy stinks.
And speaking of the Leafs, it came out that they are working on a new logo for next season. Leafs twitter took its best guesses as to what the logo might be. Remember, this logo is supposed to mix the past with the future.

That one probably performs the objective.

Someone get me Adobe Premier. Stat.
Reports suggest that the Leafs will have new jerseys and maybe even a new logo next year: https://t.co/ZwXLoKt794 pic.twitter.com/sa2AQwbBHj

Very nice. But that one on the left looks like a jai-alai team from the 70’s. (Google it.)
Is this the new Maple Leafs logo? @sportslogosnet pic.twitter.com/a7RzoD1Ira

Star Wars
Star Wars VII, otherwise known as “The Force Awakens”, debuted yesterday. The hockey world marked the occasion with many tributes:

The Wild rode that awesome video to a 5-2 win. So that game must have been more Return of the Jedi than Empire Strikes Back.
What Happened To The Anaheim Ducks?
The Anaheim Ducks were Stanley Cup favorites going into the season. Here, on December 18th, they’re tied for dead last in the league. Providing punctuation was a 3-0 loss on Thursday to the Buffalo Sabres, who are a mere four points better.
@KyleWIIM Not even Gordon Bombay could save the Ducks this time.
— 〽️Mario〽️ |#BLM (@NotLuigi89) December 18, 2015
But Gordon Bombay and Goldberg might.

Bruce Boudreau was fired by the Caps after losing a game in Buffalo…..be interesting to see if the same happens with the Ducks

Careers die in Buffalo. And chickens. Lots of chickens.
And Finally …
Speaking of chickens:
If Bruins win this game & they jump Ottawa & Detroit. 5 points back of Montreal with 2 games in hand. #ClaudeCOY pic.twitter.com/lldCiJeSep
