The goaltending situation in Calgary is a pretty confusing one. There’s a possibility the Flames will roll with three goaltenders (Jonas Hiller, Karri Ramo and Joni Ortio), but head coach Bob Hartley has said that he hates the idea of using roster space on a third netminder and will play the situation by ear.
Well, Ortio may have made that decision a bit more difficult with two insane glove saves against the Arizona Coyotes.
That save by itself may have muddied the goaltending picture a bit further, but Ortio followed it up with another.
Which save is better? We’ll side with the second one, but those two saves may be some of the best you see all year.
