Evander Kane’s recovery from shoulder surgery is ahead of schedule

Buffalo Sabres fans have some more news to get excited over. Evander Kane required surgery on his left shoulder back in February and he recently visited Buffalo for re-evaluation. According to Pro Hockey Talk, things are progressing ahead of schedule.

Kane was originally expected to miss between four and six months, but Kane’s agent Craig Oster outlined that he’s ahead of schedule and is fully expected to be completely healthy in time for the start of the Sabres’ season.

No specifics were offered in terms of how far ahead of schedule Kane is in his recovery, but this is certainly encouraging news for Sabres fans. Buffalo received Kane in a trade which sent Tyler Myers to Winnipeg and to date Sabres fans haven’t seen their return in the deal out on the ice. It’s still far too early to forecast Buffalo’s line combinations, but there’s a lot to be excited about both on the ice (Kane, Jack Eichel) and behind the bench (Dan Bylsma).
