Capitals fans are holding their breath after Alexander Ovechkin went down with an injury during the World Championships. Russia beat Germany 3-0, but they lost Ovechkin after this frightening incident:

Early reports indicated things were pretty bad after Ovechkin’s knee-to-knee hit. However, the situation didn’t look quite as grim after Ovechkin was fully evaluated.
Once again, the team doctor offered cryptic but optimistic news, saying "it's better than we thought." Ovechkin will not play vs Belarus.
