The league is reportedly wasting little time in scouting future locations for outdoor games. Chris Botta mentions that the NHL is tentatively planning an outdoor game in Gillette Stadium in Foxboro. The game would pit the Boston Bruins against the Montreal Canadiens in a venue which is normally home to the New England Patriots.
