The rumor mill is once again heating up for the Boston Bruins and the Edmonton Oilers. You may recall that the two teams were linked over the summer prior to Boston’s trade which sent Johnny Boychuk to the New York Islanders. Now a report from Nick Kypreos suggests that the two sides are talking once more about a potential trade.
Before diving in, it’s always worth noting that you should always take reports like these with a grain of salt. Teams go back and forth about various names all the time. GMs are always taking note of who and what is available and are always checking to see what kind of value their players have in the eyes of other teams.
On with the trade rumors…
Kypreos’ report doesn’t say much, but it does indicate that the Oilers and Bruins are potentially in advanced trade talks. Another team may also be involved…
Also wouldn’t surprise me to hear of a 3rd team involved in any major #Bruins trade. Gives more flexibility with player(s) and salary cap.

Now that’s interesting. Any guesses which club that might be? It might be St. Louis.
