Patrick Kane notches 10 points in a men’s league game

Patrick Kane routinely makes competition at the NHL level look silly. Not surprisingly, he can also make the competition at a local men’s league look pretty silly too. Kane suited up for the Piranhas at a local rink in Buffalo and went on to score five goals and five assists in a 13-5 victory over Essex St. Pub.

Via Px Hockey League comes this rare look of Kane (above in red) competing with a team other than the Chicago Blackhawks. This scene is one which would look all too familiar during an NHL lockout, but it’s odd to see Kane suit up in the middle of summer for a men’s league team following a grueling year which saw the Blackhawks fall in seven games in the Western Conference Finals. Here’s another image of Kane:

Kane’s five goals and five assists don’t tell the whole story. Another somewhat familiar name had an ever better night. Vinny Scarsella, a guy who most recently played with the Utah Grizzlies of the ECHL, skated with Kane and notched seven goals and two assists. Have the Blackhawks found a new partner to skate alongside Kane?

Regardless, it’s safe to say this was a night to remember for members of the Piranhas and for all in attendance. Before you feel bad for the members of Essex St. Pub, remember that the entire roster now has an incredible story to tell about that one time they skated against Patrick Kane.
