No one expects in-depth knowledge of hockey's NHL rules from ESPN, let alone a passing familiarity with IIHF rules. This is why:
I'm unsure if this is a computer error, someone really doesn't know that games end in a shootout, or someone really is in denial that a game as wonderful as the Russia/United States game had to end in a shootout.
