Martin Brodeur hasn’t given up hope on playing during the 2014-15 season just yet. As teams near the 20-game mark of their year, Brodeur’s odds of finding a home haven’t really changed. In fact, you could say that his odds have gotten worse as teams have left Ilya Bryzgalov on the open market and Minnesota recently placed Josh Harding on waivers.
Still, Brodeur is hopeful that call will come.
Martin Brodeur says the wait for a NHL job is "getting a little long." He's still hoping to play this season, though.

At 42, Brodeur hasn’t been an attractive option. That may change as we dive deeper into the year and injuries pop up on various rosters, but for now, teams have been content to roll with their current netminders. Don’t be surprised to see a club scoop Brodeur up to serve as their backup should an injury hinder a playoff push.
