Season tickets for the Florida Panthers are one of the best bargains in sports. If you’re a hockey fan living in Florida, you might as well pick up a pair of season tickets even if you’re not a fan of the Panthers. It’s practically free professional hockey. The deals and prices have been so remarkable that we usually dedicate an article each season to discuss how crazy the incentives are and how other fans – specifically those in Toronto – are stuck paying a fortune.
The Panthers have offered concert tickets, free parking, suite access and free merchandise to season ticket holders. They’ve even offered Buy One, Get One seats to fans buying individual tickets. The promotions were always ridiculous, but apparently those days are over.

It’s going to take some time for this strategy to work, but it’s a step in the right direction. Of course, it’s going to take some serious spending, so we’ll see if the Panthers stand by their word as they’ll likely take a big hit financially. The commitment to ice a team that’s competitive each night will be costly. Will the Panthers stand by their word if attendance remains stagnant? Why not keep some of these crazy promotions in place to get the ball rolling, then let the talent take over?
