Jaromir Jagr: “Looks like it will be my last season”

The 2013-14 season might be Jaromir Jagr's final year in the NHL. A post on Jagr's official Facebook page and a translation found on Puck Daddy quote the 41-year-old forward as saying:

It looks like it will be my last season, so I can’t be too risky.

Jagr has discussed his retirement several times over the last few years, but this is the first time we've seen him sound certain ("it will") about his future in the NHL. If we're to take his comments seriously, it appears he has made up his mind and that his 2013-14 campaign with New Jersey will be his last.

However, as Puck Daddy rightly points out, Jagr's career has been unpredictable. Remember his stunning move to Dallas? Or even his more recent move to New Jersey? It's doubtful any hockey fan saw those moves coming. Even if Jagr came out and said he was going to retire at the end of the year, there would still be plenty of doubt and suspicion that he'd come back for 2014-15.
