Evander Kane Tweets picture with bricks of cash

The lockout has nearly claimed the entire 2012-13 season. The owners and players are continually complaining that the other side isn't offering a fair deal and that they are losing a ton of revenue. For a moment, you might even feel a bit of sympathy for one of the sides. That sympathy vanishes when a player like Evander Kane (or Derek Roy and his car) puts everything back in perspective.

Kane Tweeted out the picture of himself holding three, if not four, massive bricks of cash. His Tweet mentioned that he was calling out Floyd Mayweather, the fighter that recently has received more attention for his enormous gambling bets than for his actual fights.

The Winnipeg Jet also Tweeted out a picture of his location, the Cosmopolitan in Vegas. This might partially explain why he's holding bricks of cash but it doesn't explain where they came from. Sure, Kane may have just won that large amount of money. Or, this might just be the amount he's gambling with in Vegas. Either way, Kane's Tweet is a reminder that fans of the NHL shouldn't feel sorry for either the owners or the players. These are wealthy, wealthy gentlemen even with the revenue lost through the lockout.

Don't fall victim to the PR machine. Keep in mind that this is truly an argument between the wealthy and wealthier.
