Video: Cam Ward makes a diving stick save to prevent a goal

Cam Ward has had a tough go in the NHL ever since he won the Stanley Cup. He is currently splitting the starting role with Eddie Lack, a move I am sure doesn’t sit well with him. Luckily for him though he is still getting playing time and from the looks of it, taking advantage […]

Video: Alex Killorn and haunted houses do not mix

Now that the Halloween season is in full swing, ghouls and goblins are afoot. Those types of creatures aren’t up Tampa Bay Lightning player Alex Killorn’s alley. Take a look at him in the video below. He is accompanied by defenseman Jason Garrison who seems to be taking this haunted house tour much better than […]

CALGARY, AB – JANUARY 7: Curtis Glencross #20 of the Calgary Flames argues with an official after he called a no goal during an NHL game at Scotiabank Saddledome on January 7, 2015 in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The Red Wings defeated the Flames 3-2. (Photo by Derek Leung/Getty Images)

Former Flame Curtis Glencross retires, is the league devaluing veteran talent?

In a surprising move, it was announced courtesy of Darren Dreger of TSN that Curtis Glencross would retire. Glencross, who is only 32 years old, is seemingly retiring before his time is up. He was traded last season to the Capitals during their playoff run where he saw a varied amount of time. It has […]

Video: Dustin Byfuglien crushes Jay Bouwmeester, tries to fight everyone

It is a tradition unlike any other – Dustin Byfuglien laying out everyone in the league. He doesn’t discern between teams, simply he will lay you out when he wants. That didn’t change last night when Byfuglien laid out Jay Bouwmeester in one of the better hits of the year. Bouwmeester takes exception to Big […]

Logan Couture injured 4-6 weeks with broken fibula

In a twist of cruel fate, Logan Couture fell during practice and is now out for four to six weeks with a broken right fibula down by the ankle. As a newly named alternate captain, it is especially painful for the young center, who looked to take more of a leadership role in the ever-changing […]

Video: Max Domi knocks puck out of mid air, dangles and goes five hole

As far as rookies in the NHL go, we have all been exposed to plenty. Names such as Eichel and McDavid come to mind. We may have forgotten one of the best though, Max Domi, who is of course related to Tie Domi, the noted pugilist. Unlike his father, it looks like Max is overflowing […]

Video: Carey Price lays out Chris Kreider with a “revenge” hit

If you think Carey Price has forgotten the little transgression that Chris Kreider caused two years ago, you would be sadly mistaken. I am of course referring to Kreider’s breakaway that ended the Canadiens’ Cup chances and ended Price’s season. I am sure this memory is still pretty fresh in his mind. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8rIDi-1t4Aw Kreider, who […]

The Hot Take: Bruins need to begin rebuild now

Welcome to The Hot Take! This will be a reoccurring feature in which we open up a discussion within the wide world of hockey. After writing about the Bruins the other day about how they were secretly shopping both Chara and Marchand, my brain started to churn (a dangerous thought, I know). Why are the […]

Vancouver Canucks will use individual goal songs for players

Are you tired of hearing the same boring goal song used over and over again by the same few teams? The Canucks were way ahead of you in that regard and have decided to allow their players to choose an individual song for each player on the team when they score a goal. Most of […]

Is it time to worry about these 3 winless NHL teams?

It is entirely too early in the season to worry about an NHL team’s position in the standings, but a few teams came into this season with very high expectations and are currently winless. Should your team worry? I break it down for you in a few easy steps. Columbus Blue Jackets Worry Level: Low Perhaps […]

3 rules the NHL should change next

With the early success of the 3-on-3 overtime, I think it is time to address some other NHL rules that should be changed as quickly as next season.

CHICAGO, IL – JUNE 15: Zdeno Chara #33 of the Boston Bruins talks with Brad Marchand #63 in Game Two of the NHL 2013 Stanley Cup Final against the Chicago Blackhawks at United Center on June 15, 2013 in Chicago, Illinois. (Photo by Harry How/Getty Images)

Report: Bruins quietly gauging trade interest on Marchand and Chara

It didn’t take very long for the trade rumors to start circulating after a poor first few games for the Bruins.

Video: Dustin Brown appears to headbutt Logan Couture

It looks like Dustin Brown is already in preseason form. Brown, a forward for the LA Kings, displayed a high level of truculence with a check on San Jose Sharks player Logan Couture. Crouching Tiger, Hidden Head Butt? In all seriousness though this hit definitely looks questionable. Let’s take a look from another angle. That […]

Jaromir Jagr is bringing back his legendary mullet

Not all heroes wear capes. The hockey mullet is a long honored tradition that spans decades. The news today should come as no surprise to those that follow the game closely. People have been praying to see Jaromir Jagr’s legendary mullet come out of retirement and alas, the time has finally come. His teammate Roberto Luongo […]
