Animal Rights group protested against Clayton Stoner for killing Grizzly Bear

A group of animal activists were at the Honda Center Monday calling for the suspension of Anaheim Ducks defensemen Clayton Stoner, who killed a well-known B.C. grizzly bear in 2013, and is currently awaiting trial on five separate charges.

The Islanders are wasting a roster spot on Eric Boulton

Some surprising NHL veterans cut from rosters

We wrote about David Booth’s comments, who said veterans were being phased out for younger players. With team’s trying to trim down their roster for the start of camp, there’s been some evidence to support this trend. Here are some surprising vets cuts from NHL camps this preseason.

Raffi Torres receives 41-game suspension for preseason hit

The National Hockey League announced today that San Jose Sharks forward Raffi Torres has been suspended for 41 games due to his  preseason match penalty for a hit to the head of Anaheim Ducks forward Jakob Silfverberg.
