UPDATE: Apparently the Islanders will in fact use their old goal horn for 2015-16. Looks like the front office heard all of the complaints and criticism from not only Isles fans, but fans around the NHL.

The New York Islanders are officially residents of Brooklyn and with the move came a new goal horn. The new horn is a genuine horn that you’d hear in the subway while commuting to the game, but it’s already being met with some mixed reactions.

The New York Times did a lengthy piece on the new horn, including the fact the horn can be found on trains in at least three of the 11 subway routes that run near Barclays.
Pass or fail? The nod to the transportation around the stadium is nice, but we’re not sure it makes for a very good horn. If your horn is hard to listen to, that’s probably a bad thing.
