Video: Hamburg police confirm they’re investigating Patrick Kane

The Hamburg Police Department have confirmed they are investigating Patrick Kane. Initial reports were extremely vague as to what Kane was being investigated for, but it soon emerged that the case may involve sexual assault. Most of the information surrounding the alleged incident with Kane is chalked up to “sources” or “reports” but this at least acknowledges that something is going on.

The statement from the Hamburg police doesn’t touch on too many details, but they confirm the incident allegedly occurred at Kane’s home. They also mention that information is still being gathered and they are waiting on the results from forensic testing.

As always, it’s important to collect all of the data before jumping to a decision or a conclusion. The only thing this statement from the police tells hockey fans is that there is in fact an investigation going on and that’s about it. Some have already written off Kane as guilty of whatever may have happened due to his history (remember the incident with the cab driver?), but that’s premature and should only occur once all the facts are presented.
