Video: Dan Carcillo throws first pitch at Dodgers game into the stands

The Los Angeles Kings are already on a media tour promoting their outdoor game this winter against the Anaheim Ducks. The game will take place at Dodger Stadium, so what better example of cross-sports marketing could there be to have some of the Kings throw out the first pitch? Camp is starting this week, so the guys are all in town. I wonder who the Kings chose? Drew Doughty? Jonathan Quick?

Wait, Dan Carcillo?

According to Brian Stubits of CBS Sports, Carcillo, Matt Greene, and Jeff Carter tossed out the first pitch last night at the Dodgers game. Normally a first pitch is a nice, soft lob to the catcher. Greene and Carter figured out how to do it. Apparently Carcillo has no concept of things like “toss,” “throw,” or “baseball.”

The fun starts at 1:20:

Why yes, that is him hurling the ball into the stands. Get ready, Kings fans. This is going to be a fun year. His baseball acumen carries over into hockey quite well.
