Ceremonial puck drops are usually pretty uneventful, but on rare occasions the carpet comes into play and something hilarious happens. The latest incident happened in the Czech League where apparently no one knows carpet can freeze to ice.
The officials and the Zamboni had to come out and scrape carpet off of the ice, causing a short delay.
