Antoine Roussel will be hearing from the Department of Player Safety after he viciously cross-checked Adam McQuaid in the throat. McQuaid was dropping the mitts, but instead of being met with punches, Roussel hit him up high with his stick.
Some have tried to defend the hit and have said Roussel didn’t mean to hit McQuaid as high as he did. That seems a little far-fetched, especially when close images of the incident make the whole thing look pretty ugly.
