Nathan MacKinnon was assessed a five-minute major penalty for boarding after he leaned on Luke Schenn and sent him awkwardly into the boards. Though the contact appeared to be minimal, the officials decided MacKinnon’s contact on Schenn was enough to warrant the penalty.
